CORE and mental health

Last revised March 22nd, 2021

If you encounter an individual experiencing any:

…the first and only recommendation that should be made by any asset is to seek professional and/or medical attention.

Please do not coerce, convince, or suggest anything regarding any diagnosable condition (including depression, ASD, ADHD, DID/OSDD, etc.). Unless you are a medical professional of appropriate licensure AND are engaged in an active and consensual medical relationship with that asset as your patient, it is very irresponsible to suggest a diagnosis of any kind. Even the best intentions cannot excuse us from irresponsible actions.

In short, it is not appropriate at any time to suggest diagnosis of any condition to somebody unless you are their doctor. Remember, CORE is not a replacement or substitute for therapy, behavioral healthcare, mental healthcare, or self-awareness and we always suggest speaking to a licensed professional (therapist, social worker, psychologist, psychiatrist, M.D., etc) about any potential symptoms you notice or are worried about in yourself.
